Kelpful is a small, women-owned cooperative that farms seaweed. They believe that seaweed is a climate resilient resource because it is abundant, renewable, fast growing, and needs neither fresh water nor fertilizer to grow. Seaweed also improves the marine ecosystems where it grows because it naturally sequesters (or captures) carbon and nitrogen, reducing the impact of these gases on the atmosphere.

Kelpful is committed to sustainably, wild harvesting seaweed by hand at low tide, drying it in the sun, and then providing it to consumers in compostable or recyclable packaging.
